Review: Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Eye Cream

On August 18, 2012 by Michelle Ng

Hi all!

I got to try this new eye cream from Hada Labo for a few weeks now and I have to say I am loving this! Even though this is a sponsored product for review, all my reviews are in my honest opinion.

Hada Labo is known for their simple ingredient-based products, and the main ingredient – Hyaluronic Acid. The brand made use of 3 different types of Hyaluronic Acids:

Nano Hyaluronic Acid: This acid’s molecules are 1/20 the size of the normal Hyaluronic Acid, allowing a deeper penetration within the skin.

Super Hyaluronic Acid: This acid contains a moisture retention capacity that is 2 times more than the normal Hyaluronic Acid. This helps to keep the skin hydrated and smoother for a longer time.

Hyaluronic Acid: 1gm of this acid is able to hold 6 litres of water and so, it effectively locks in the moisture in your skin.

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Eye Cream also contains Actiflow to increase blood circulation and visibly lighten dark circles and reduce puffiness. Jojoba Oil is added to erase fine lines and smooth aging skin around the eye areas.

This feels like a gel texture and not truly a cream. Still, this cream is creamy (duh!) and spreads easily over our delicate eye area.

One plus point is that the pump gives you enough control to decide on the amount of product to be dispensed. I hate those products that waste too much product with each pump.

Having dry skin, my under eye area is always flaky since our eye area has little to no oil glands. After using this product for a few weeks, I do notice much less flakiness under my eyes and that my foundation stays on longer. Well, this eye cream, to me, does no other beneficial properties but only to moisturize. Hence, don’t expect any disappearance of your deep set wrinkles. What I think this helps at the most is that your fine lines would be less visible as your skin is more hydrated and supple.

As for the dark eye circles, I do not notice any much difference in it. I have definitely darker eye circles than before ever since I started working so yes, I can tell that this eye cream did not help much for my dark eye circles. Nevertheless, I really love this hydrating eye cream for hydration, excellent as a day time eye cream before makeup in my opinion!

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Lotion

This iconic lotion from Hada Labo has a new nano formula! Read my review of the old formula HERE which was 2 years ago! My love for this lotion is still going strong. With this new nano formula, I feel that the lotion has a better absorption rate into the skin than before. You know how you have to pat a while for the lotion to sinks in for this hydrating lotion? This new lotion sinks into my skin faster, I feel. As usual, my skin feels more supple after using this lotion!

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Eye Cream and Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Lotion are both available at Watsons for SGD$21.90 and SGD$22.90 respectively.
