Hi all!
I was on a cafe hopping spree a few weeks back when I had my 1 week annual leave from work. As I was exploring the Duxton area, I actually chanced upon a new cafe along Neil Road. Just a few days old, the cafe interior oozes an Australian vibe.
Located right next toย Goethe-Institut Singapore, this cafe is easily accessible from Tanjong Pagar / Outram Park.
Menu from The Lokal:
Their coffee uses Sarnies coffee beans made with their Slayer machine.
This is just their breakfast menu. The cafe serves various burgers and brunch items after breakfast hours. This shows that I have to come back to this cafe to try their lunch menu!
Latte $5.50 + $1.50 additional soy
Was hoping they could come up with a more complicated latte art but oh well, this heart will do!
I appreciate cafes that bring in soy milk for lactose intolerant customers like myself. So a plus point for serving a soy latte in the cafe!
A top down shot is a must for every food lover.
Toasted banana bread $12
Toasted Banana Bread with home-made vanilla yogurt, toasted macadamias nuts and caramelised banana
The crunch of the toasted macadamias nuts complements well with the soft banana bread that is flavorful and not overly sweet. I especially love the caramelized crust of the toasted banana bread at the sides, dipped in the lightweight vanilla yoghurt. The bread was not too dense, which is a plus point for me. Overall, this french toast-like breakfast is a dish that I would recommend!
Prices are net and inclusive of GST.
