Review: Paula’s Choice Antioxidant – Enriched Natural Moisturizer + Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum

On December 8, 2012 by Michelle Ng

Hi all!

Paula’s Choice has been my go-to skincare ever since I have used her products to clear my acne (read my story HERE). PC products are fragrance-free, color-free, free of harmful skin irritants, and never tested on animals. With the right application and choosing the right products for your skin, Paula’s Choice products are suitable for all skin types, even for sensitive skin!

Today you can get her products readily at Paula’s Choice SG site. I have tried ordering from them before and I received my items within 2 working days after payment! How fast was that? Paula’s Choice SG has sponsored me the two items below for review. Thanks PC!

Earth Sourced Antioxidant-Enriched Natural Moisturizer

This innovative formula is a rich, yet surprisingly light lotion that perfectly hydrates your skin while treating it to a potent combination of antioxidants and skin-repairing ingredients proven to stimulate collagen production and renew skin cells. Your skin will look younger and feel silky-soft like it never has before.

Ingredient List:

This formula is based on a specialized, proprietary technology that truly captures the best of nature fused with science. Because of this technology, this moisturizer stands alone for repairing and rejuvenating skin. Using this moisturizer drenches your skin with antioxidants, preparing it for the next step in your skin care routine.

Review:

This is a lightweight moisturizer. The lotion gets absorbed into the skin quickly and hence I would recommend this to those with oily/combination skin. As I have dry skin, I would be looking for something even more thicker. This being so lightweight is suitable as a morning moisturizer in my case. The key to youthful looking skin is not by using anti-aging products (although they do help a lot), but it is to moisturize our skin well enough and give it some antioxidants. Antioxidants stimulate collagen production and renew skin cells. I always have a step in my daily skincare regime that includes the use of antioxidants. Overall, it feels like a normal moisturizer but it has added antioxidant benefits which I love. Although the results of the antioxidants are not much apparent for this moisturizer, it is a great basic moisturizer to own.

Review:

My mum and I love this product to the max! Me having dry skin and her having matured skin, we incorporate this super antioxidant concentrate serum into our skincare regime.  For me, I like to use this 2-3 times per week whereas my mum likes to use this daily at night. The texture of this can be quite greasy so it is recommended to use it at night. I apply this on top of my moisturizer like any other serum and sometimes I even top it off with a night sleeping pack. With these steps, I wake up to baby soft and still hydrated skin in the morning. Before I use this product, I always wake up to skin being tight – super dehydrated. This serum help to hydrate my skin well plus the antioxidants clears all the free radicals that can damage our skin during my sleep, allowing my skin cells to regenerate.

Do note that this is a serum for the skin recovery line, catering to those with dry skin. If your skin is oily, I recommend the super antioxidant concentrate serum from the skin balancing line (for oily to combination skin). For this product, we just need a tiny pea sized amount for our whole face. It may be a small bottle, but it goes a long way. All in all, I totally recommend this!
