Hi All!
I was invited by Walking on Sunshine (WOS) to visit their salon and their cafe. This was my first time having a meal and also arranging for a service at the salon, despite having passed their location many times at Orchard Central. WOS is a whopping 6,000 square feet and it houses one of the biggest floral themed cafe in Singapore.
Directions to Walking on Sunshine
Reaching Walking on Sunshine is very easy. Strategically centralized at Orchard Central (Somerset), all you have to do is arrive by MRT at Somerset MRT and walk over to Orchard Central (same building as Don Don Donki). The cafe and salon is at Level 3, so you may reach there by lift, or take the escalator from the one near 6sixty 8eighty. You would not miss the salon and cafe as it is beautifully decorated with florals.
Walking on Sunshine Interior
This garden themed salon will ensure that you are fully relaxed while having your hair treatments in the salon. It’s an understatement when I say that every angle is Instagram worthy. This zen and relaxing atmosphere is the reason why there are so many people at the salon on a weekday!
There are even sections where pots of plants are displayed for sale!

WOS has a professional and international team of hair stylists. At WOS, they focus a lot on customer experience, so much so that they have their own customer service team for their salon.
Hair Highlights by Konomi
I went for just highlights for my hair as I wanted my hair to still look natural when my dark roots has grown out. Additionally, highlight is a great way to brighten your hair without dying the entire head. My stylist, Konomi, also suggested to have to have 2 different shades of highlights for my head so that it gives my hair an overall 3D effect.

I opted for a more ashy shade which also makes my blonde ends ash toned. However, Stylist Konomi was quick to point out based on her experience that my natural hair colour is very orange-toned and advised me to use a purple shampoo for my hair to prevent my hair from looking brass. She also informed that my highlights would become more significant and brighter after a few washes.

Overall, I am glad with her service. She hails from Japan and just joined Walking on Sunshine team but is full of experience and I liked her for her Japanese take on the hair. Even though her command of English is not excellent, you may need to repeat a few things to make sure nothing is miscommunicated. Rest assured, you are in good hands.

Their menu has a plethora of choices from drinks, pizzas, spaghetti, Korean inspired dishes and many more. There are many photo-worthy spots around the cafe too:
I ordered the following which was very filling, namely the popular Coconut Coffee Smoothie that is super refreshing. For my mains, I ordered the Bulgogi Beef Cream Fetuccini. The bulgogi blends well with the cream-based and is very savoury. The cream fettuccini was not too heavy on the stomach either.
The ambience here makes me feel like I am at a Korean Cafe! This brings back all the nostalgic memories when we get to travel around the world. This cafe is even on Grabfood so if you are craving for some Korean fusion food, look no further!
