Howdy everyone!
With Acai gaining popularity over the past few years, you wonder what is this magic purple ingredient and different is it from a regular smoothie bowl. Well the main ingredient in an Acai Bowl is Acai which has much benefits for your body and gut. Now, instead of having to make your Acai bowl, or travelling down to a store to order in an Acai Bowl, you can do a food delivery conveniently from The Acai Lab Singapore.
I found out about The Acai Lab from Best in Singapore which is a resourceful platforms listing the best services / restaurants / products in Singapore. They do the research and hard work so choosing the right service is as easy as possible.
Acai berries are a Brazilian superfood and they are e native to the Amazon region. That is why you see the most packets of Acai berries are imported from Brazil. Acai can come in the form of frozen fruite puree, dried powder or juice.
Benefits of Acai
- Loaded with anthocyanins which act as an anti-oxidant
- Improve chlolesterol levels

- Helps in weight loss
- Good for the brain
- Improves skin condition
- Improves Gut Health
For Acai Lab, what they use is their PurpleBlendโข, made out of all natural and organic ingredients. Vegan-friendly as well! The PurpleBlendโข Aรงaรญ base comprises of mostly fresh aรงaรญ berry puree, hence comprises heavily on the sweet, tangy and refreshing taste of an aรงaรญ taste.
It is further complemented with several other purple superfoods, giving off a fruit taste and texture that further enhances the natural flavours of the aรงaรญ berry. To give it more volume and creaminess, bananas and almond milk are added to enhance satiation while keeping the base light and fresh.
The Acai Lab even sells just the puree like a frozen ice cream.

Here is a breakdown of the nutritional information of the Acai Lab acai bowls:
Adding of the topping / sauche like the peanut butter costs $1 and it is quite a generous serving!
Verdict
The fruits in these bowls are fresh and generous. Even though the size ordred is a small, there is quite a lot of Acai puree given, and I remember visiting some other Acai stores in Singapore with a medium sized bowl served to be much smaller for the same price. The price difference between the Acai Lab online delivery and other Acai stores in Singapore is probably the ingredients in which what is lacking in these bowls from Acai Labs are the “supergrains” such as Goji Berries or Cacao Nibs etc. However, because of this, the Acai Lab has managed to keep the price more affordable.
One bowl from the Acai Lab can be quite feeling and I understand why some chose to eat this as a meal replacement. Do not expect the fruits to be arranged nicely when you receive the bowls and definitely expect the Acai puree to be melted off a little. That is no issue for me as I can always pop it into the freezer for a while. The Acai puree used in the bowls are thick and creamy, not icy at all.
My only wish is that they stock almond butter as one of the toppings because I think almond butters go much nicer with Acai bowls than peanut butter.
