Hi Everyone!
I just found a treasure that I cannot wait to share with everyone. Opened in 2020 at Neil Road unit 39 is Royal Eternity Tea House that is a beautiful space with different function rooms available for rent with tea appreciation services. I wish this place existed when I was married in 2017 as this is such a conducive place for holding small gatherings/meetings and even ROMs.
The tea house is located conveniently along Neil Road which is just a walking distance away from Chinatown MRT and Tanjong Pagar MRT.
Besides tea rooms, these rental rooms function as events or meeting rooms. This is suitable for birthday parties, business meetings, corporate events, workshops, and even solemnization. I love the interior of this tea room which has a nice mix of the traditional oriental feel with a modern touch. My tea specialist, Xiao Yu, told us that the interior was designed specially by a famous Thai interior designer.
Royal Eternity Tea House demographic varies greatly and comes from all walks of life:
- Engaged couples looking for a venue to book their solemnization, couples, dating/married looking for a romantic venue to spend their date and anniversary
- B2C, companies looking for a venue for their corporate events
Schools, institutions getting their students onboard for tea making and learning Chinese arts and culture - Tour operators and travel agencies looking to book our venue as part of their heritage tour
- Affluent business people who want a private space for their business meetings, or fine dining party.
Event Rooms
As the event rooms have to be booked in advance, you seldom see walk-ins which make the place a very tranquil and peaceful place to hold your event. The staircase leading to the level 2 rooms are separated, on another side of the unit, which means the foot traffic would be split between levels 1 and 2.
The space comprises of 5 types of room sizes:
Level 1 – Glass Room at $99/hr (1-15 capacity)
Level 1 – Meeting Room at $150/hr (1-15 capacity)
Level 2 – Meeting Room at $150/hr (1-15 capacity)
Level 2 – Meeting Room Centre at $160/hr (1-15 capacity)
Level 2 – Royal Grand Eternity Room at $250/hr (1-25 capacity)
Amenities provided:
- Air conditioning
- Private Room
- Projector
- Wifi
- Pens
- Papers
- Chairs
- Tables
- TV Screen
- Sound System
- Tea
- Cleaners
As I spotted some wine coolers in the rooms, I even asked our tea specialist if alcohol is allowed and they do have a license to sell wine and alcohol! This makes it a breeze for your guests if they are a fan of both traditional tea and wine.
They are also on the verge of getting approved for a cigar license which would make their teahouse a very exquisite venue as not many places in Singapore have this license. They would like to target the affluent businessmen in this niche who like to smoke cigar and have a private get-together with their circle of friends.
Things to note:
- To book the room, a reservation of $50 is required.
- A minimum of 2 hours of booking is required.
- To bring your own tea set for Chinese Traditional Tea Ceremonies for weddings
- Their store can host up to 100 guests for a venue booking
Tea Specialist
For each event booked with Royal Eternity Tea House, you will be assigned a tea specialist who will brew your tea while you have your event. Our tea special list Xiao Yu is dressed in a beautiful traditional costume which makes tea appreciation even more special.
You can refer to their own article on different kinds of teas. At Royal Eternity Tea House, they carry 4 types of teas which are red tea, white tea, olong and pu-er. The tea will range between $58 to $68.
For my session at 1.30 pm which was right after our lunch, our tea specialist suggested for us to have red tea which is gentler on the stomach.
Our Tea Specialist skillfully warmed up the glasses. As she pour the hot water over the tea, the aroma penetrates the air. Before serving us the tea, our tea specialist actually did a taste test herself as well. The tea can be brewed up to 5 times and the last brew makes the tea taste stronger. For someone who grew up in Hong Kong, I am used to drinking Pu-er and this red tea is actually very light for me.
If you are not looking at booking a room and only wanted to appreciate tea, it will costs you $28 for 45mins at the glass room that includes tea for up to 5pax.
Current Offer
They are offering 4 free mineral water bottles for each booking and a free flow of Chinese tea for each room.
Overall, Royal Eternity Tea House is a perfect place for cozy and intimate gatherings for events and special occasions that provides eloquent tea experiences.
