Spent my afternoon sometime last week at Tanjong Pagar area and I decided to do some cafe hopping while at it.
I’ve heard about this cafe along Neil Road called…
BOTANIST

The interior is very cozy, and a plus point is that they have free wifi where I can focus on my work at the same time while sipping some coffee.

Their coffee is good, full body with a nutty tone. People around me has ordered a full meal each and I thought, their food must be good. So I opened my Burpple app to look for some reviews and oh man, I cannot stop drooling over the food pictures. I had to order!

Eventually after much contemplation, I ordered a Corn Fritter ($18), something different from my usual eggs benedict and French toast and boy, did I not regret my choice! What’s more, this cafe absorbs the GST and service charge!

This dish includes one poached egg with hollandaise sauce (one half of what you get for normal eggs benedict), hummus (I love chick peas!), spinach, corn fritter and avocado! What’s not to love.

I truly recommend this cafe! Be advised that you would need to wait for your seat if you head there over the weekends. Otherwise, weekdays are the perfect timing to head there to enjoy the food in a serene and peaceful space.
The nearest MRT for me is Outram park as this cafe is situated near to the end of the Neil Road, or at least to the start of the road where it is nearer to Chinatown / Outram than it is to Tanjong Pagar which I actually walked from that day.
