Hi everyone!
Have you used your Singapore Rediscovery Vouchers?
This Hotel G is relatively new and was built in 2017 by GCP Hospitality. We stayed here in November before the launch of the SRV tickets. Prior to my stay, I had stayed in the similar chain hotel in Hong Kong called Residence G. Both the Hotel G are of a boutique hotels.
We booked the tickets via Agoda as we had some unused credits. As my cousin stayed there before in the Queen Size Room, I realized that it may gets a little cramped for 2 adults. This time round, I booked the King Size Room for my husband and I for a staycation.
Strategically located near Bugis, Rochor, Bencoolen and Dobhy Ghaut, Hotel G is the best hotel for some shopping which are just a few minutes walk away. You can reach here from North-East Line and East-West Line and Downtown Line. So convenient! All these stations are just a convenient 10-15 minutes walk away.
When we first arrived the Hotel G, we missed the entrance. The entrance would be next to the Ginett Restaurant. It would be easy not to miss that as there will be a staff stationed Their reception is on Level 2 so taking a lift would be required, unless you like to work the calf muscles of yours but it is not ideal with a luggage. Even with 3 elevators that leads up to the reception, we waited quite a while for a lift from the ground floor, it was a good wait of at least 10 minutes for the lfit. I will talk about the elevator issue again during the check out process.
Check in was at 2pm, which is the same for most guests so you see a queue starting to form along the small check in reception area. Honestly, there wasn’t much space to do proper social distancing. We were lucky to have arrived 15 minutes before 2pm as after we are done with the check-in, the queue extended from the reception all the way to the lift lobby.
The reception area is also where people entered through from the carpark drop off point.
During the check in, as our package came with free burgers (no breakfast but rather burgers which is being served between 11am to 2pm), we selected our choice of burger.
At the corridor, it was filled with fun colours and wall murals. We spotted a water and ice dispenser as well but it was closed off due to hygiene reasons.
Good King Room
Here is the view of our Good King Room!
The room is compact and rather small. This is not something that I would necessarily be bothered about for its price and also for just one-night stay. The ceiling was pretty high which makes the room more spacious.
Amentities
One thing we note is that there were no bathrobes provided, so it has to be requested through the room service. The bath robes are delivered sealed to show that they are clean for use.

The Burgers from Twenty Five Degrees
The burgers were delivered at 11pm which gave us ample time to gobble down the burgers as our brunch as our breakfast were just some cereals that we bought from the supermarket the day before.
We chose fries as our sides and oh boy, these fries were good! I have never expected to find myself eating fries without condiments as the fries are well seasoned on its own. Perhaps we are too hungry, but I bet if are to eat them steaming hot out from the fryer at the restaurant itself, we would have chomped in down in seconds.
Roasted tomatoes, burrata, crispy prosciutto and pesto with beef patty.
Caramelized onions, crescenza, prelibato gorgonzola, bacon, argula and thousand island with chicken patty.
Both burgers are delicious. Each patty is juicy.
Check Out 2pm
We tried to request for a late checkout but our package already has the late check-out included, at 2 pm. At the end of the checkout, the queue was not too long thankfully. However, we still have issues with the long wait for the elevators so we ended up using the staircase.
Overall, it was a relaxing staycation and if you are someone who loves staying in the room and just sleep / watch TV, this is the best staycation for you.
