Have you caught Skyfall in the cinemas yet? Sad to say, I haven’t because I have not yet watched the first two series! Somehow, I don’t quite like Daniel Craig as James Bond. Well, let’s talk about the OPI collection shall we? There were a few polishes from the collection that caught my eye but what lured me the most is On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Live and Let Die and Golden Eye. Since Golden Eye was out of stock at the time I purchase my polishes, I grabbed the other two.
On Her Majesty’s Secret Service is very similar to Fei Fei. This is a very multi-dimensional shade with a grey shimmer base and purple/blue/green flecks that shifts under different lightings.
However, this polish is pretty sheer with just one coat. You would need at least 3-4 coats to get an opaque color.
Look at how it shifts from greenish to blue-ish?
This is my favorite nail polish ever!
Live and Let Die is another one of my favorite polish ever because it has a forest green black base with golden shimmers.
Okay, I might have edited the photo above too much, it is not that black in real life.
Though the shade is quite dark, you should still be able to see the forest green peeking through. The swatches above can be achieved by just one coat, just one! This polish is much easier to apply. Only problem is that, it might chip quite easily as I can see slight chipping (even with Seche Vite topcoat) after just one day of wear.
The golden-green shimmers can be seen much better under brighter lighting.
Adore these two polishes!
Did you get any from OPI Skyfall?
