Suntec Sales Haul (Urban decay, Burt’s Bee, Mario Badescu) + Back2Mac

On November 5, 2010 by Michelle Ng

Who can resist sales? Not me for sure! When I heard that there are going to be 2 cosmetics sales at Suntec, I totally deviated from my original schedule. There are 2 sales that are going on right now from Sephora (Room 302) and Catwalkalley (Room 202). Both will end on Sunday if I am not wrong. So, if you still want to catch these sales, you still can! However do take note that, some shades are already all sold out.

What I got:

From the Sephora Sales, I have:

  • Burt’s Bee Very Volumizing Pomegranate & Soy Shampoo | $10
  • Mario Badescu Buffering lotion (my back up) | $20
  • Mario Badescu Whitening mask | $20
  • Urban decay lovechild lipstick | $20

From Catwalkalley’s sale:

  • Urban decay matte eyeshadows in (Cult, Heist, Revolver) | $12 each

When I was at the Sephora sale, I had nearly 10 items in my shopping bag, and that won’t do. I could not bear to spend so much hence I obediently put back some items and eventually have a humble 4 item haul. The Mario badescu buffering lotion is actually almost the same price as getting it online, but since I have to buy 2 items from MB ( 2 for $40 ), I purchase it together with the whitening mask which is a cheaper deal compared to online. Hopefully the whitening mask works for me as I have lots of scars from my seafood break-out in HK.

I was interested to try the Very Volumizing shampoo from Burt’s bee because firstly, it would be my first volumizing shampoo and secondly, it’s 97.20% natural! With my scalp condition and me trying to grow my hair long, I think it would be better for me to use almost natural hair products.

This lipstick has to be the favourite item in this haul. Just look at the packaging! It’s not overly girly and very cool. Speaking of cool, even though this pink lipstick is cool-toned, it is actually very wearable.

Yes, more Urban Decay items! I think if there were to be an Urban decay friends and family sale, I can totally skip it. Also, I realised that I am starting to collect eyeshadows, and since these colours cannot be found in my collection of eyeshadows, I bought them. And they are pretty wearable too.

If you have any questions regarding the sale, feel free to ask me.

Oh and a shout-out to Joanna, Rusty, Kimberley, Natasha, Kimberly, Jennifer, Jane, Fatin and Lynn!

Since I would be out at Orchard today, I decided to visit Joanna’s friend, Junry and back to Mac (B2M) my Mac empties for a lipstick at the same time. Unknowingly, I picked up another pink lipstick. Initially, I wanted a nude lipstick such as Blankety or Hug Me, but I had too many nude lip products already. Guess which pink lipstick I got?

It’s Plink! (lustre formula)! Swatches:

Plink! is another wearable pink which looks a lipgloss on the lips. Unlike Lovechild, Plink! is more beige. Upon reaching home, I counted the number of pink lipsticks i have and altogether, I have 4 inclusive of these 2 new ones. Despite them being all pink, they are very different from one another. Alright, I am just typing this out to comfort myself that it is okay to purchase more pink lipsticks :P
