Review + Swatches: Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Lipstick

On December 16, 2011 by Michelle

I know I am on a blogging spree this week, just because I would like to clear as many edited pictures in my folder as possible before the arrival of another new year – 2012! My goal is to clear all my photos before the arrival of Chinese New Year, just next month.

Today I am reviewing my current lipsticks at the moment – Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Lipstick!

Price: For USD2.99 each for 0.11oz, they are really a steal! That’s the reason why I am willing to be a few of these and will be planning to get more.

Packaging: Their packaging is simple and straight to the point. No classy packaging or funny push-up mechanisms. They want their lipsticks to be the star. Although I am not complaining the design in any way, sometimes, the black tube may feel wobbly or loose. However I do not have any probems with them breaking apart so far, despite knocking them about in my kit.

Texture: These are all mattes (with a barely noticeable sheen) and if you are looking for those with a glossy finish or a sheen, they won’t work. Although they are mattes, they apply onto the lips smoothly and although it can be drying if your lips are not properly moisturized, I say they are great for the price. Fine lines are not emphasized on the lips.

Pigmentation: What you see in the tube is what you will see on your lips. This explains why I did not do any lip swatches because they are that pigmented. I can totally use them in replacement of OCC Lip Tars.

Longetivity: It’s funny using the term longetivity, but truly, these lipsticks are long lasting. Of course, they are not smudge proof but for normal drinking of water and eating, they are pretty good. The staying power is commendable, but make sure you moisturize your lips to prevent them from drying out. Long lasting lipsticks tend to be drying but so far for these, I have not much of a problem.

Swatches of the shades that I currently own:

Left to Right: Ravin’ Raisin, Think Pink, Mauve Outta Here, Smokin’ Hot Pink, Coral-ine

Just for the fun of it, I tried the colour block trend on my lips using Smokin’ Hot Pink(bottom) and Coral-ine(top).

Will I repurchase? Oh yes!!

Thanks for reading ~
