Today I shall post about this blush from Nars that I have gotten awhile ago back in 2010. In a blink of an eye, it is already the 2nd last week of January. .
Nars Sex Appeal Blush is described as a soft peach by Sephora online. To me however, it is more of a peachy pink? Released as part of the Holiday 2010 collection, I believe it is still available online. This retails for US$26.00, same as other Nars blushes.
There is no shimmer in the blush whatsoever, which I like in blushes.
What is appealing about this blush?
- Need not worry about going heavy-handed since this is a fair colour.
- Easy to blend.
- Provides a nice flush on your cheeks.
- Suits both cool or warm toned.
- Suitable for fair skin-tones, ranging from NC10 to 20.
What is not so appealing?
- Might not appear on skin-tones of NC25 and above.
- Just slighly chalky unlike other Nars blushes, but still creamy and velvety to touch.
When worn (I am around NC20):
Please pardon my blemished skin, this picture was taken when I had just started my new skincare regime (to be reviewed soon!). Hence, my skin had not completely improved. And my foundation does not match my neck in this photo! Yuck!
Anyway, from this picture, you can barely see the difference, mostly due to the lighting. In real life, there is a visble, yet not obvious difference. If I were to wear my blush out, nobody will know that I did, which means that the blush is best for no-makeup makeup, in a word, neutral days. How would I describe the flush? Just like the flush you get when you finished working out. The blush is that natural.
On the other hand, it is best suitable only for fair skin-tones. If you would like to purchase another peachy-pink blush from Nars, I strongly suggest Deep Throat. It is one of my favourites from Nars!
