Review: Phytomer Hydrasea Moisturizing Serum

On July 5, 2013 by Michelle Ng

Hi!

Phytomer has discovered the exceptional power of polarized weaving algae water to combat dehydration. This fresh serum with its lightweight, ultra-moisturizing texture immediately melts into the skin to hydrate it and quench its thirst. Softer and suppler, the skin reveals a radiant complexion and looks visibly more beautiful.

4 high-performance ingredients acting in synergy for optimal hydration:
- Polarized and Encapsulated Weaving Algae Water: intense, rapid and boosted moisturizing
- Glasswort Oil: reinforced moisturizing
- Pheohydrane: lasting moisturizing
- OLIGOMER®: remineralized skin

Ingredients:

Aqua (water)/eau, Glycerin, Betaine Isononyl Isononanoate, Butylene Glycol, Triethylhexanoin, Hydroxyethyl, Acrylate/sodium Acryloyldmethyl, Taurate Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Bis-peg -18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Glycereth-26, Caprylic/capric Triglyceride, Ppg-5-ceteth-20, Acrylates/c10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Chlorphenesin, Maris Sal (sea Salt)/sel Marin, Parfum (fragrance), Sodium Hydroxide, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Isostearate, Sorbitol, Hydrolized Algin, Lecithin Biosaccharide Gum-1, Undaria Pinnatifida Extract, Salicornia Herbacea Extract, Maris Aqua (sea Water)/eau De Mer, Chlorella Vulgaris Extract, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Glycol, Disodium Edta, Bht, Ci 77491 (iron Oxides).

The serum is stored in a plastic pump bottle. Nothing fancy, just a practical product.

The texture is very lightweight and sinks into the skin fairly fast.

This would be excellent in humid weathers like ours.

Overall, this serum is great for day-time use in my opinion. After cleansing my face and followed by my regular toner, I would apply this all over my face. As it takes only seconds for it to be absorbed into my skin, I had quite an ease applying my moisturiser onto my face before my normal face makeup routine. My T-zone area faces no problem regarding to using this serum unlike some serums that can be quite thick and too emollient for my oily T-zone area. This serum is so light yet so hydrating. I would give this a thumbs up as I have not faced any dry patches on my skin for some time now which is a problem that I usually encounter as my combination skin has dry and flaky patches most of the time when it is not well moisturised. This serum ensures that my skin suck up all the moisture for any moisturiser that I would be using on top of this serum. I would recommend this to girls with oily to combination skin!
