Review: Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion with Nano Formula

On November 22, 2012 by Michelle Ng

Hi all!

I was recently given Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion with Nano Formula to try, thanks to Elaine! Here is my review.

I have always been a big fan of Hada Labo products because they are simple (in terms of application and its ingredients) and they work.

Here are my past Hada Labo reviews:

  • Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Face Hydrating Lotion (HERE)
  • Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Face Wash (HERE)
  • Hada Labo Retinol Lifting and Firming Lotion (HERE)
  • Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing UV Milk SPF 50 PA+++ (HERE)
  • Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Eye Cream (HERE)

Introducing to you the newly reformulaized Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion with Nano Formula!

Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion contains three main ingredients – Arbutin, Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid.

  • Arbutin contains effective whitening properties to enhance skin fairness, fight dark spots and renewing dull skin to reveal clearer and fairer skin.
  • Vitamin C enhances the skin’s fairness and repairs dry and dull skin caused by UV exposure.
  • Hyaluronic Acid to lock in moisture and for the skin to reach its optimal radiance and translucence.

This lotion provides deep moisturizing, intensive repair and double whitening. The key ingredients that provide whitening properties are Arbutin and Vitamin C.

The newly formulated lotion with nano technology allows the active ingredients to penetrate into deeply layers of the skin cells, allowing faster absorption by our skin which products results faster. Our face is like a sponge. If the molecules are too big, the sponge would not be able to absorb everything effectively. Hence, the nano technology will help a lot!

The lotion is quite opaque like the other lotions that I have reviewed before. What I do is to rub this lotion between my palms and then pat my palms on my face a few times until you get a sticky like feeling. Pat a few more times and the lotion should have been fully moisturized into the skin. Remember to pat slowly for full absorption. I feel that this lotion seems to require less patting compared to the old formula without the nano technology. So that is a plus point!

Let me share with you one trick. I like to DIY my own moisturizing mask with Hada Labo lotion. Depending on what properties you would like your mask to have, say whitening, you can use Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion with Nano Formula.

Find a compressed DIY facial mask (mine is from Watsons).

Add around 3 teaspoon of the lotion to the compressed facial mask.

The mask will start expanding, while absorbing the lotion.

Once fully absorbed, you get your own sheet mask to use! Like regular masks, leave it on your face for 15-20 minutes and there you have it, your own DIY whitening mask thanks to Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion with Nano Formula!

After a few weeks of usage, I definitely see some clarity in my skin but my acne marks are still visible. I think this lotion is best for subtle progress of whitening, by bringing radiance to your skin. The fact that this product is comfortable to use (soothing to even sensitive skin like mine) and affordable, I highly recommend you giving this a try. You can even try their basic Hada Labo Lotion for just moisturizing properties.
