Review: Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè Moisturizer

On October 23, 2014 by Michelle Ng

Hi all,

Today I am reviewing my favourite moisturizer of all time! This Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè Moisturizer is a cult product among makeup artists, and models and now I understand the raves about this moisturizer. Having finished one whole tub, I am now giving you my opinion about this moisturizer.

“Lait-Crème Concentrè (24-Hour Miracle Cream) is a rich moisturizing lotion. This specially formulated lotion is quite versatile; throw it in your travel bag when you don’t have enough space for numerous products. Our creamy lotion is really three products in one: the make-up artists use it as a primer, moisturizer, and make-up remover. It also reduces irritation after shaving!” - embryolisseusa.com

Ingredient list:

Water, Paraffinum Liquidum, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Triethanolamine, Cera Alba, Cetyl Palmitate, Butyrospermum ParkII, Phenoxyethanol, Steareth-10, Polyacrylamide C13-14, Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Propylene Glycol, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Aloe Barbadensis, 1-2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Tropolone, Parfum.

This moisturizer comes in a squeeze tube just like your regular toothpaste. As you are depleting its contents, you can easily roll up the ends of the tube, fold it and store the tube in your bag and carry it around wherever you go.

This moisturizer feels thick and rich but for those with oily skin, not to worry! You can still moisturize your face by using the right amount of moisturizer. Use a pea size depending on your skin type and massage it onto your face. The moisturizer will sink right in, but not as quickly as your normal lotions or gels. If you use too much, it might be greasy. As for me (dry skin here!), I use that much amount of moisturizer pictured above. This makes my skin really hydrated, nourished and supple for more than 3 hours. This will work well with sensitive skin as well because I find this quite comforting to use.

The additional plus side for this moisturizer is that it functions as a makeup base as well. With this moisturizer below my foundation, it somehow manage to grab onto the foundation, making my makeup last longer. This is due to its velvety texture.

One downside is the availabilty of this moisturizer in our country. The way I get my hands on this moisturizer is through this commerce site based in Hong Kong – cosme-de.com. Overall, I recommend you to try this moisturizer. Remember to use the right amount of product for your skin type. If you still find this too rich, you can definitely use it as a night moisturizer.

Price: USD$29 at cosme-de.com
