Review: Brush protector

On August 25, 2010 by Michelle

Recently, I opened a spree for some brush protectors (very similar to the Brush Guards) and I ended up getting some for myself too. In 1 pack, there are 10 brush protectors of the same size. Unlike the Brush guards, they are sold in different sizes and much more expensive too. These brush protectors that I bought are only $5 inclusive of shipping and postage, which would translate to $0.20 for 1 protector.

Despite only having 1 size for all brushes, they fit perfectly from small eyeshadow brush to big face brushes as shown below:

Why do I need a brush protector? Firstly, they protect the shape of the brushes. This is important when I have tapered face blush brushes such as the MAC165. Moreover, with the brush protector, I can dry the brushes whilst they are standing after washing. The water would not drip/flow to the handles which may spoil the brushes.

However, because there is only one size, the brush guard may overstretch if they have been used for huge face brushes such as my MAC187. Nevertheless, they still can be reused and continue to function as usual.

I might be opening the spree for the brush protector soon as I would love to get more for my brushes [EDIT: Opened a spree here] ! 🙂 Tomorrow would be the 1st day the Luxasia sale. Excited!
