Review:
Since Bio-Oil can be used on different part of the body, let me review this as according to where I applied it on. I tried it on my face as well as my eczema areas (legs). For the face, as my skin is ofย the dry type, any oil will moisturize my face well and will usually not clog my pores. In fact, the oil sank into my skin fairly fast (as comparedย to organic jojoba oil which I use as my daily moisturizer). On the other hand, if you have oily skin, try to use it with caution as it contains mineral oil which might result in clogged pores. One thing I do like about this oil is that it is pretty affordable!
Now onto its efficiancy on my eczema patches. I have one patch at the back of my knee, and this “scar” always caused problems. When the weather is hot and humid, the itchiness is just unbearable. I have also been finding ways to reduce the dark pigmentation caused by eczema. So I turned to Bio-oil this time for the problem. Did it work? While I do not see any fading in the scars, my eczema patch seems to dislike this product because the itchiness came back as soon I applied the oil. Perhaps it is an allergic reaction?
Overall, it claims to do a lot of stuff and that is a tall order for one small product! While it is great at moisturizing, people who is allergic to rose scents and mineral oil must use this with care in my opinion.
