Rant : Vday express gellish manicure from Milly’s Jem

On February 15, 2017 by Michelle

A few days ago, had another impulse appointment to get my nails done. My previous gellish nails had grown out and since Valentine’s Day is coming, why not get some new nails? *excuses*

Chanced upon this Vday promotion by Milly’s and since they have a new outlet in the west, I booked an appointment there. I was well aware that the designs are limited to these shown. Colours can be changed. This promotion costs $58.

After finishing my nails, I wasn’t impressed for paying 58 bucks. I did my calculation. Regular gel nails (solid colour) is $20. Nail art is around $6 per nail. Apparently, dabbing a brush on a nail to get a somewhat watercolour effect is already considered an nail art. Not impressed.

Back to the calculation, I had 6 of the watercolour nails. Which makes it $36. Addition to the regular gel nails, it would be $58. I’d give it that the silver metal studs are $6 each as well. I only saved $22 for this Vday nail set.

I should have gotten these pretty pressed flower nail art from Vanitee at just $40nett!

Why did I spend $58 for just a plain looking nail art?? Why? I really shouldn’t have made this impulse decision of doing my nails.
