How to: Switch MAC powder compacts

On September 16, 2010 by Michelle

Hi hi! I have been meaning to get this post up! But i keep dragging…as usual.

My friend wanted a new bronzer and since I do not use my Style Warrior’s Refined Golden bronzer, I decided to let her have mine. However, I was a bit reluctant at first as I love the packaging so much! I even asked her to return the packaging to me if she were to finish the bronzer (which might probably take ages). Luckily, I chanced upon this video ~ Check it out!

Hence, I shall switch my dull MSF packaging with my Style Warrior’s packaging.

Using the method from the video, just pop the pan out with a nail file or tweezers. This method is exactly the same as depotting your eyeshadow. If you have depotted your MAC eyeshadow multiple times, you would have known how to do this with your eyes closed!

Now do the same for your other packaging (Style Warrior packaging). All you have to do right now is to switch the packaging and pop the pan back to the packaging.

Tada! It’s as easy as 1-2-3!

You can do the same for your limited edition blush or eyeshadows from MAC too!

Just one point to note, because your MSFs are domed, your covered casing may not close properly. You must ensure that the dome is slightly gone for the casing to close. Now I can carry by beautiful Style Warrior packaing around in my makeup bag 🙂

Thanks for reading ~
