How to: Store your pigments
Hi!
Today, I spent some time packing my makeup collection again in preperation for the move. Since I purchased some stackable 10g jars months ago, I finally put them to good use. As you must have guessed it already, yes, I am putting these pigments into stackable jars! I googled online and it seems to me that many others are also using this method to store their pigments!
What you need:
- Toothpick / spatula
- Stackable jars
- Pigments
- Tissue
Use a toothpick and loosen up the pigments in a jar especially when they are packed in a jar with a small mouth opening.
Be more patient when pouring out the pigments in such a small jar. Ocasionally, tap the jar against the table to settle the pigments in the jar, leaving more space for more to be poured in.
Alternatively, you can use a tissue to press the pigments if you find that the pigments are over-flowing.
And you are done!
Some swatches of the NYX pigments. I find them pretty sheer. Maybe the pigmentation would be better when applied wet or foiled.
Empty bottles!
Tada! Easy for storing! I hope this is useful! The stackable jars can be found at Daiso if you are interested.
