Hauled some nail polishes a while back and these are just some of the polishes in my haul. Today, I am featuring two new brands that I have not owned before – NYX and Sinful Color.

First thing that I notice when I saw the NYX polishes is their glass bottles which is insanely similar to Deborah Lippman bottles! In fact, they are an mirror image of one another, except for the cap. Not willing to invest in Deborah Lippmann? Try NYX! NYX’s formulas are not bad at all and they have a wide range of shades and textures for your to choose from!
First up, NYX New Glitter! This is one of my favourite glitter polish, perfect for layering on top of shades that you like, be it just black, or a pale shade like nude. Here, I layered New Glitter on a nude polish.
Doesn’t this swatch reminds you of the bodysuit costume worn by Jessie J at the London Olympics closing ceremony?
Next, I purchased another glitter polish meant for layering – L.A. Color Color Craze in Jewel Tone. Why a sudden urge to buy glitter polishes? This totally reminded me of cupcakes! Buttercream icing with purple, blue and magenta colored sugar!
Here is my NOTD!
I have layered these glitter polishes over my nude polish – Anna Sui #705 from my Anna Sui haul HERE. Surprisingly, this combination is safe for my corporate office, thanks to the nude base!
Custard buns is one of my favourite desserts or snacks! The combination of sweet and salty from the custard and salted egg yolk is mouth watering! Since I want to curb my cravings for it almost everyday, I thought I shall attempt to perfect the custard bun recipe.
And this is how they turn out!
I ended up not rolling the dough flat enough, the dough rose too much causing the bun to be 80% bun and 20% filling.
As some of my fillings are not centered, bun cracks easily when it rose.
However, the taste is quite similar to what i have eaten outside. I might add more salted egg yolk in the future since I like saltiness more than sweet. The texture of the filling still needs some work to be done as it should be more creamy and fluid.
