Haul + Review: Too faced shadow insurance glitter glue + WnW Mega Last Lipstick

On December 10, 2011 by Michelle Ng

Hello!

This is my beauty.com haul a few weeks back. I needed a glitter glue, thinking that it would work well for glitters, obviously, but better than normal primer. Funny enough, when I had this glitter glue now, the product I used the most for glitters is actually my NYX glitter eyeliner from HERE.

Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue Glitter Bonding Eye Shadow Primer

Price: USD18 for 0.35oz

What it is: A glue specifically formulated to lock down eye glitter and enhance its reflective quality.

What it does: This colorless cream formula is designed to grab and hold loose glitters, pigments, and shimmers so they won’t come off until you take them off.

What it is formulated WITHOUT: – Parabens- Sulfates- Synthetic Fragrances- Synthetic Dyes- Petrochemicals- Phthalates

Taken from Sephora.com

Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Beeswax/Cera Alba/Cire d’abeille, Glycerin, Acrylates Copolymer, Jojoba Esters, PVP, Silica, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Tribehenin, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Stearic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Triethanolamine, Propylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopherol, Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491).

Review:

Firstly, I was surprised by the stickniness of this primer and of course, how dumb was I. This was meant for glitters! The stickiness is meant for the glitters to stick onto. Do not expect this primer to be of the texture of primers such as the original too faced shadow insurance or the urban decay primer lotion.

Despite my new found love for using NYX glitter eyeliner as a base (which works really well too), Too faced glitter glue does much more for glitter eyeshadows, pigments, and loose eyeshadows, beside just plain glitter. Imagine an universal base for all your eye products, this would be it.

Given its tacky application, you would want to make sure a thin yet sufficient layer is used.  A lump of glitter glue on your eye would not allow a smooth application.  This glue just grabs onto any product you put on it. It is one bad sucker! No more fall-outs either!

This is a flesh-toned glue, but applies fairly clear.

Demonstrating with one of the finest glitter that I have.

Tada!

I really love this glue. Shall try to do a tutorial using this Too faced glitter glue soon!

The next item from my beauty.com haul is another Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color Lipstick! Not again? Yes, I love them that much.

This time the shade that I purchased was 909D Coraline which was supposed to be a bright coral.

However, I was a tad disappointed as it turned out to be too red for me.

It looks like a red with orange undertones to it. My hunt for bright corals continues…
