Haul + NOTD: Essie, China Glaze, Essence

On January 7, 2012 by Michelle

Another new post for the week before a new week starts tomorrow. Actually, my parents counted Sunday as the first day for the new week, which explains why Sunday is always the first column on our calendars. For me, i still like to treat Monday as the first day of the week. Do you know which is actually correct?

Back to the topic, today I am showing you some nail polsihes that I have hauled recently!

Remember my 2012 resolutions HERE? I better stick to it for this year!

Took this photo via Instagram. You can tell that my drawer is running out of space soon if I continue purchasing more polishes!

Well, if I really had to buy polishes to please myself, I can now turn to Essence polishes which just came to our shore recently. Their minature polishes (5ml) is only $2.80! From what I heard, the Essence counter at Ngee Ann City Watsons is almost empty! All the polishes were snatched up within weeks. I have also heard that there is another Essence counter at Sun Plaza. For now, there might be only 2 counters. If you have spotted more, do share!

These are the 3 shades that I have purchased:

38 Choose Me! (Yes, I did choose you.)

67 Make it golden

66 Shiny Godnesss

*Oh yes, Im know I am using my Ikea bedsheet as the background a lot 😛

Swatches on my index, middle and ring finger.

FYI, the polish on my thumb is from POP and on my last finger is OPI Christmas collection. I were trying those out at Sephora just for the fun of it and did now take down the names.

The Elianto polish (RM5) was purchased in Genting Malaysia as I needed a black polish, mainly for nail art!

And, since I have been missing out on a few China Glaze and Essie collections, I decided to purchase those that I definitely love and would wear on a daily basis. The shades are as follow:

China Glaze Tinsel Town

China Glaze First Mate

Essie School of Hard Rocks (love the name!)

Essie Shine of the times

This Essie polish is my ultimate favourite among this bunch of polishes because this is my first Flakies polish! They are called flakies because of the multi-chrome flakes.

As you move your finger, the flakies transit from red, orange, gold, to green. Flakies are used on top of CG First Mate here.

And here is my NOTD!
Following the trend of putting a glitter polish on the ring finger.
