Haul: MAC + OPI + Essie

On January 7, 2011 by Michelle Ng

Hello!

These items were in my possession for almost a month or even more and I decided to just showcase them in this post.

The Mac and OPI were purchased from Smoochiezz.livejournal flea at a very affordable price! The Essie nail polishes were from Priscilla (teaplayground) tweet-spree. I’ve got to say, twitter is a great platform to read up on deals and such. However, it also means that your bank account is more vulnerable.

The Essie polishes that i have gotten were Jazzed and Merino Cool. Both were $10 if my memory serves me right. For an Essie polish, $10 is the lowest price you can find.

Jazzed on the left is a nice nude beige, perfect for workdays. Merino Cool is a muted purple, very much similar to Sephora by OPI Metro Chic from what I have heard. My camera was unable to pick up the purple tone in the nail polish unfortunately.

Here are the swatches:

China Glaze Classic Camel was on my ring finger.

I applied Color Club Covered in Diamonds on my index finger.

Right, now let me describe what happened at Smoochiezz Flea. As the booth was at the corner of the venue, everybody was packed like sandwiches. Butt touching one another etc. There were so many people visiting the booth such that none of us could barely move. Being a self-acclaimed expert in sales, I managed to move around, not with much ease though, and still successfully grabbed hold of some items I wanted.

The OPI polishes were a steal for $8 each. They were selling like hotcakes and were almost sold out after one hour of the sale.

Left: Fiercely Fiona ; Right: …

I am pretty sure this shade is not Gagantuan Green Grape Matte. Perhaps this is the reason why the polishes were selling for cheap. Does anybody know what shade this is? I’m guessing Parlez-vous? If it is, I have hit the jackpot as I had been searching for this polish for quite some time every since I applied this shade during my manicure HERE.

Next, I picked up this Mac Margin blush, not for myself but as a Christmas present for my best friend! Ever since I started on makeup almost a year ago, I had been persuading my best friend to head in the same directionn as me. This blush would be a great “motivation” for her.

My friend is NC30-35 and this blush looks great on her skin tone. No swatches available as this is a present. For only $18, this blush is really a steal!

Thanks for reading ~ Have a great weekend ahead!
