This is my haul! No I am just kidding! These were orders by others from the Mac Peacocky collection! Just by looking at this photo, I am so elated!
Let’s be serious now, this is my humble haul:
Left: Mac Virgin Isle Cream Color Base from Stylishly Yours collection
Right: Mac Unflappable Mega Metal Eyeshadow from Peacocky collection (which is launching islandwide tomorrow!!)
Close up pictures:
I think Virgin Isle is a great blush for a slight flush on the cheeks. A little amount is needed and for this swatch, I applied way too much. When I tried to clean away this swatch using my cleansing oil, I must say that this is a tad harder to remove than I thought. Hence, I believe this blush would last long lasting on me! From what I see online, this can be used as a lipstick too! I love multi-functional products. A pity this is not eye-safe.
To b honest, I was not complete satisfied with Unflappable eyshadow. The only reason is because I expected it to be velvety smooth and creamy to touch. However, they feel just like the same or only slighter better than Mac regular satin eyeshadows. In the pan, Unflappable just do not stand out to me. However, when swatched, a purple undertone can be seen, although not very obvious. I tried doing a last minute smokey look on myself just to see whether this eyeshadow cause my eyes looking bruised.
Here is my impromtu smokey look:
This is definitely messy as I did not bother with the shape or much blending. I just want to see how this colour turns out on me. No eyeliner or mascara. When applying on the eyes, the eyeshadow is not very pigmented. I had to pack on the eyeshadow quite a few times to make it intense. Perhaps it would work better with a eye primer as I did not use one here.
I tried wearing lashes just for the fun of it. In fact, this is the first time I applied lashes on myself! I admit it is difficult and somehow, I can never apply the false eyelashes on my left eye. I need more practice!
