Event: “Fall in Love” Wedding Workshop 2012 by Purple Sage

On September 23, 2012 by Michelle

Hey all!

Are you or any of your friends tying the knot soon? Well, one of my BFF is! As her bridesmaid, I decided to attend Purple Sage’s “Fall in Love” Wedding Workshop 2012 (courtesy of Purple Sage and Min Ru) for some tips for holding a wedding!

“Envision colors of Autumn come alive at one of the most experiential wedding workshop of the year, brought to you by Purple Sage Group and partners. Indulge in a delectable spread handpicked from our exquisite wedding menus, newly launched in 2012. Check out other enhancements and value- added services, like customized wedding collaterals, candy bar, and exclusive privileges from other wedding partners, which you can enjoy. Learn more about planning your own outdoor dream wedding and enjoy exclusive treats and promotions on the day itself. If you are looking to create a wedding that is uniquely yours, or a traditional banquet with a twist, this is an event not to be missed!”

“Fall in Love” Wedding Workshop was held at Emily Hill, one of the popular spots for weddings. The sun was pretty glaring that day, but with the help of the lovely white tents, we get to enjoy the little introduction of the workshop sheltered from the sun.

Situated at the top of mount Emily, Emily Hill’s historical and stately bungalow offers a tranquil setting amidst the hustle and bustle of urban Singapore. Charming, rustic and rich in character, the house will make a perfect setting for a wedding away from the city.

All the props here are set up by Wonderland. A decor specialist for exquisite table settings, Wonderland for Detailed Planners aim to create beautiful weddings through the provision of stylishly-selected basics such as tiffany chairs, table linen, table accessories and furniture pieces.

Want to charter a vintage Volkswagon for your wedding? Look for Volks Wedding! Ain’t this beetle cute? The burnt orange shade is perfect for Fall as well!

For me, food is one of the key components on a wedding day. A hungry man is an angry man. That’s true, so we have to feed our guests. Not only that, I believe in feeding the guests well with top-notch cuisine!

Since its inception, Purple Sage has been constantly evolving to present guests with a myriad of cuisines and culinary delights, including fusion cuisine, creative canapés and even molecular gastronomy, the first ever in the local catering industry.

This year, Purple Sage will be releasing a new series of Western Wedding Menus. Ranging from Cocktail Receptions, Fusion Semi Sit-Downs to full Western Sit-Downs, Executive Chef Earn’s handcrafted recipes incorporate the elegance and creativity of the brand. Some interesting dish items to excite your senses.

What is more, the boutique caterer will be officially launching its first ever Chinese Banquet Wedding Menus, to provide couples with the options to cater to a variety of local palates. Many of the dishes remain traditional, but with a twist of elements for that unique gastronomical experience.

The Western Menu will be showcased at the upcoming “Fall in Love” Wedding Workshop on 1st September, 2012, Saturday. And all menus will be available for purchase from 1st September onwards.

To provide the convenience and ease of planning for a wedding, Purple Sage Weddings will like to take their table décor service one step further by providing menu cards, food tags and table number cards that complement the setting as well. Better yet, Wedding Invites can also come along with these wedding packages. This ensures personalized aesthetics and elegant consistency in all your wedding collaterals.

With more wedding couples desiring bespoke wedding décor and wedding styles that are out of the ordinary, Purple Sage Weddings has created our own unique concepts that will be available for wedding clients from September 2012 onwards.

My favourite has to be the pumpkin fried rice!

Before you choose your wedding band, you have to make sure you know exactly how it is going to sound like on your wedding day. Here, we have the Love Notes interactive band singing the beautiful melodies at the workshop.

Inspired by the popularity of candied sweet treats, Purple Sage presents its latest live station, the “Candy Bar”. Where a colorful world of sugar temptations awaits, this candy galore is a perfect complement to whimsical wedding, and will definitely add a punch to your wedding menu.

Flower arrangements are very important for weddings, and you can leave your hands to the Butterflies & Cakes productions. They are known for making the dream wedding come true, and never cease to wow anyone with their set-ups.

This blue bouquet will definitely be the show stopper!

I can’t wait for my best friend’s wedding next year! Whenever she needs help with supplies etc, I can always turn to one of these partners showcased at the Purple Sage workshop. Thanks Ru for inviting me down to “Fall in Love” Workshop!
