1st Attempt: Halloween special effects!

On October 29, 2011 by Michelle Ng

Hello all!

I was chatting with Rusty, Joanna and Kimberley just yesterday and Rusty started to show us some special effects that she did for her Halloween party (her post HERE). Kimberley also dressed up for a party at her estate. I decided to jump into the bandwagon as well as attempt something that I have never tried before. Halloween special effects!

I think mine turned out to be too dark. It was meant to be a laceration wound but I think it turns out to be like a 3rd degree burn wound or a zombie bite. Haha! Being unable to scare my nurse friend shows that this wound is too fake!

I wanted to make the skin very real but unfortunately I have no special effects materials so I just make do with whatever I have. Lipstick, lipliner, lash glue, eyeshadow…

Its definitel not on par with those professional special effects makeup! But i had so much fun scaring my family! I think that is the best part of Halloween, scaring people! How did you enjoy your halloween?

This would not be my last as I had much fun creating this “wound”. I definitely want to recreate a wound again for next year’s Halloween! Or perhaps, on April’s Fool day?

Happy halloween!! :)
